Office Mail Addins are compatible with Office Mail v2.0 (and higher). Each
Addin can be downloaded and installed into Office Mail, after which it can be
used as part of an Addin Rule. The theory of Addins can seem a little bewildering
at first, but once you understand Addins you will see that they can achieve
almost anything. You can even write your own Addins (if you know what you are
doing!).
Addin Files:
Addins are DLLs. They should be downloaded and stored in the folder c:\program
files\burrotech\office mail\addins. Then restart Office Mail and you will
see the list of Addins similar to the list below:
Addin Rules:
Once you have installed your Addins you can then make one or more Addin Rules.
Rules are performed after emails are received and/or before they are sent. Each
rule can run up to 3 addins. Here is an example of creating a rule which will
do the following:
1. Check if an incoming email is from spam@spam.com
2. If it is then play a wave file called spam.wav and then delete the email.
The 3 key points with Addins are:
1. Set up a rule to decide if certain Addins should be run when emails are received
or sent.
2. Select up to 3 Addins which will be run if the conditions are satisfied.
3. Configure each Addin by using appropriate params. The params are explained
by clicking the question mark button.
Most Addins are free, you simply click on the link and save to c:\program files\burrotech\office
mail\addins.
Forwards an email to a mobile phone. Before the email is sent
any HTML and attachments are removed so that you receive a compact (typically
1kb) text only email on your phone. An SMS can also be sent when an email
is received.
